Growth and Learning are closely related. We grow as individuals through the exchange of ideas and the learning process. I am the product of hard work and the inspiration of some wonderful instructors.
Our lives are a continuing journey -- and we must learn and grow at every bend in the way, sometimes stumbling but always moving toward the finest within us. -- Captain Gerald L. Coffee
Learning and growing intellectually, however, are not one way streets. In those instances that I've instructed others, I too have benefited from the interaction.
In the same way a branch relies on its vine for nutrients and support, we rely on others to help us in our personal and intellectual growth. The vine also benefits from the branch which delivers nutrients in return.
Vine Branches, therefore, represents the interrelation between instructor and the learner. Each, relying on the other, both growing from the relationship.
As a Christian, Vine Branches also brings to mind the Gospel of John where Jesus declares himself the vine through whom we connect to our Creator.
